Backup question with shared-data mode

Hi,

I would like to ask if I deploy the StarRocks with shared-data mode and storage used MinIO, how could I backup the data?

I am wondering whether only backup the bucket in MinIO and the meta folders of FE and CN, does it enough to recover the data?

The backup/restore in the shared data is not ready now. It’s under development.
It will be ready in the next months.

I am wondering if I mirror the starrocks data from MinIO and backup the meta & storage folder from fe & cn, is that able to backup the data in data-shared mode?

Yes, it works theoretically. But I think there are some points need to take care.

  1. The minio path should be the same between src/dest cluster
  2. The FE ip or hostname should be the same.
    The essential is the metadata should be the same between clusters.
